If you haven't heard by now you're way behind. Justin Alliman, Founder of Dream Chaserzzz Basketball Inc. Has been running a "free" basketball academy out of Mississauga, Ontario.
The academy started back in January of 2017. Justin wanted to be able to give back in greater ways than he thought anyone at the time could do, so he started what he now refers to as the "DCSA" Dream Chaserzzz skills Academy.
The academy started off offering basketball training to boys aged 12-15 years old from all over the greater Toronto area. The objective was to be able to allow everyone within that age group regardless of their financial situations to be able to get the opportunity to have professional training while learning the benefits of hard work, dedication and what it takes to not only make it on the basketball court but also in life.
Since January 2017 the DCSA has launched another successful campaign with the turnout reaching in the upwards of 60 plus athletes. With the success of the boys DCSA we are now looking to start a girls’ academy program in Mississauga as well. The demand for girls’ basketball training these days is just as high as the boys. Everyone in Canada is excited about basketball right now, it’s a great time for basketball in our country. If we can inspire even one athlete whether male or female to strive for greatness and realize that no goal is unattainable if you work, then we have done our jobs.
Financial situations should not be the reason why kids cannot get professional training or participate in sport if they want to do it. We are here to bridge that gap not to increase it.
Below you will see video of what a typical day in the Dream Chaserzzz Skills Academy looks and feels like.
